A Treatment Center is a great option for those who are in need of a big reset in their life. Reasons a treatment center would be necessary may include Substance Abuse, Alcoholism, and Mental Health issues such as PTSD.

Treatment Centers are effective because it requires you to be out of your normal day to day routine and gives you the time and environment to focus on your treatment.

The Peer Team has vetted treatment centers that are a good fit for our department. Any peer team member can help facilitate getting you enrolled at a treatment center.

Scroll below the FAQs to see the vetted treatment centers for yourself.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • All of the treatment facilities recommended by LCFD accept our insurance but there may be additional costs beyond the insurance coverage. Each treatment facility can explain the specific costs involved during the initial phone call.

  • Both the Center of Excellence and Warrior’s Heart require travel out of state. We would provide a travel companion and assist with flight costs through L2148 and/or the Peer Team and representatives from the treatment facilities would meet us at the airport.

  • Your length of stay depends on your individual treatment plan and your progress through treatment. Most average more than 30 days.

  • You will need to use PL for the first 36 hours of missed work but you can apply for STL for the remainder (with a doctor’s note).

  • The decision to allow visitors is typically made by the treatment staff. Involving family and significant others in your treatment is valued but not until it would be helpful rather than distracting.

  • No, you do not. Peer Team Members are happy to assist you with contacting treatment centers but you can request treatment whenever you need to. All of the information you need is contained on this website.

Deer Hollow Recovery Center

Most therapy is spent exploring the unhealthy things we do in our lives to cope with underlying pain and feelings of fear, shame, and abandonment, and feeling out-of-control and not feeling safe. This pain is often from wounds that begin in childhood and are validated through our relationships, our jobs, and our personal choices. People often turn to behavioral addictions and substance abuse to deal with pain that manifests as PTSD, anxiety, depression, and suicidal thoughts. This pain is core trauma.

Deer Hollow is set apart from all other recovery and wellness programs because of how our expert clinicians apply our unique combination of treatments (also called modalities). We combine cutting edge, evidence-based, best practice intensive trauma treatments with specialized therapies that enable us to treat trauma at its core and enables you to truly step into healing.
